Go Go... Away

Day #2 - your least favorite song:

It just is... I used to hate "My Sharona" but I love it now... maybe eventually I'll give Wham! a break... but I doubt it.

(I do kinda like the jitter bug part... )

Break Your Heart

I stole this from a friend's SP blog =] There are 30 days worth of songs...

Day #1 - your favorite song:  (This is the hardest ot the questions for me... I always say I don't have a favorite because I constantly change my mind...) I swear I have AT LEAST 10 favorites, usually this is the one topping the list though. I am the most faithful girl in the world... but when it comes to music, I have many loves, I'm sorry Gary. =[

Work It! (Summer Workout Tunes)

Welp! Tonight I decided to do my playlist change out! I like to keep things pretty fresh at the gym so I change my list up every now and again. I also use my iPod some nights and then my android when it is fully charged ;) This helps me to not get bored. Tonight, while searching for some new tunes I realized how finicky I am about workout tunes! I love all kinds of music, but I'm just a brat when it comes to running songs! It has to be just right in order for it to go on that particular playlist. I find that there isn't a ton of variety in my workout repertoire...

I haven't perfected my new list yet but I figured that I'd throw a rough sketch of my OLD playlist on here. =] I know that at one point (quite awhile ago) I had posted some workout songs... but my workouts have really changed so I'm guessing the music has too... here goes!

Warm-up

"A Little Bit Stronger" by Sara Evans which I retired about a month ago. I used to start every workout with this song religiously.. not now though. This one has went to the "donate" box. lol)
"Hey, Soul Sister" by Train.. I LOVE TRAIN!!!
"You Left the Water Running" by Otis Redding

(Strength Training songs listed later in this post... Usually I do some ST here. Then I start my actual workout)

Workout

"F*ck You" by Cee lo Green (You, and her too!)
"Running from You" by Saving Abel
"Rude Boy" by Rhianna (this really gets me going!)
"Down With the Sickness" by Disturbed
"Lose Yourself" by Slim Shad... okay, Eminem ;)
"Whatever" by Godsmack

Here are some of my strength training songs...

"Take the Money and Run" by the Steve Miller Band (woo hoo!)
"Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf
"Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland... Jump Rope Song!!! =] If you know the song, you can see why! haha
"Fighter" by Christina = my favorite Abs/Arms song! Especially when I'm boxing or using the speedbag!
"This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" by Fall Out Boy... Abs/Arms
"Love Me Like the World is Ending" by Ben Lee (more often used during stretching)
"Kiss With a Fist" by Florence + The Machine (Legs)
"Map of Tasmania" = my favorite Legs song... who knows why!
"Unbelievable" by EMF... I like to kick it old school sometimes

Back to the Elliptical after some more strength training... here is where I really work out!

"The Climb" by Miley Cryus... I don't care what the haters say, I love this song, so =p
"I Want Somthing that I Want" by Grace Potter
"Shake It" by the Metro Station
"The Way You Do Me" by Jo Jo (Yeahhh... I love her!)
"Lollipop" by Mika
"Move that Body" Man, I love Nelly!! One of my favorite rappers!
"Can't Be Tamed" by Miley Cyrus
"S & M" by Rhianna
"Bad Girlfriend" which is a song from an old mp3 player by Theory of a Deadman
"The Way I Are" by Timbaland Ft Keri Hilson

My ULTIMATE work out song used to be "Woo Hoo" by Christina Aguilera ft Nicki Minaj... However, it is now "Til I Collapse" by Eminem. I could probably be on my death bed and pop back up should someone play this one! The best song for all sorts of motivation! http://youtu.be/jnslrTTXQSA This one isn't being recycled quite yet.

I'm a big fan of Cross Training on the Elliptical so these are the songs I throw in when I'm going "backwards" and pushing up the resistance. I always mix these in during the elliptical but since is an interval training, I figured it would be easier just to list them as a set. =]

"Stop" by Against Me!
"In the Dark" by Jo Jo
"Back that Thing Up" which is a hilarious song by Justin Moore... I can't help but move my butt to it! =]
"Sexyback" by Justin Timberlake... Dirty Babe!! Okay, I'm sorry but that song is still fly. Yeah!
"Big Girl" (You Are Beautiful) by Mika... song makes me feel like a traitor to my team. lol
"Bad Romance" by Lady GaGa
"Walk" by Pantera
"Pussy Control" by Prince (and, no, I don't go straight from Pantera to Prince!)
"Bullet with Butterfly" by Smashing Pumpkins
"All I Want to Do" by Sugarland
"Rock Your Body" by Mr. Timberlake

Cool Down- I really struggle with the cool down because I'm terrible at keeping a slow pace. I'm one of those people who feels like they must go all out the entire time they're at the gym! I'm learning to let the songs set the pace though. (Sometimes it works)

"Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon is one of my favorite songs. It is so smooth.
"I Alone" by Live which I find is a great cool down song because it is a great transition from sprint to jog
"I'm the Only One" by Melissa Etheridge (I might sashay a bit to this one.. but who can help it?!)
"Knee Deep" by Zac Brown Band... who was amazing in concert ;)
"Happy Song" by Otis Redding helps me keep the smile through the post-workout stretching.

There you have it! Now we know why it will take me forever to create a new list! I can't stand being bored though... and sometimes I'm just not in the mood for a song so I will skip it! Now that I spend hours at the gym at a time, I'm finding I could really use more tunes! Sometimes I have to repeat songs, and where is the fun in that?! Okay, It's off to bed for me!

I left the really naughty songs out of this post.. this is my best attempt of censorship. =]

I'm Not Trying

You're Stupid and You Lie

As you slipped away I couldn't admit that we were through
And as you slipped away
I found I lost myself in search of you
I found I lost myself in search of you,
search of you
I was holding you tight and you were holding her
But now the only time I can hold you is in my mind
And that never seem to fill me up inside
Oh and yes I felt lonely and yes I felt a need
And you seemed to feel it necessary to make me see
That I was wrong and you were right
And that all my attempts were in vain

I was holding you so tightly when you needed help
I guess insecurities catch up to you when you're lying to yourself
But I never lie when I told you all that you could be
But it was no use, you never really ever listened to me
I was holding you so tight but now I've let you go.

I'm sorry, it is just that Matt Nathanson has quickly become my favorite! Everytime I'm searching for lyrics via google I swear he has already sang them! It is insanity! Man, he's so delicious.

No secrets struck enough of a chord with me that I just had to post one.. so I didn't.

and flowers

This was actually fairly painful! The artist said I coped pretty well.. but that's only cause I was texting my way through most of it... but then it died I can't wait til it heals so I can get a better picture of it! (Also wanting to put "if music be the food of love, play on" written around the curve of it, possibly!) =] I had a pretty exciting day out of town. We left around Noon but the car died literally 8 times so we didn't get back to town until 9:30! All we did was visit a Co-op in Pekin, Illinois, and get tattoos. Best part? I decided on spot I wanted one cause there was a tattoo shop upstairs... so, tattooed I am! My friend got cherry hearts on her backside and had the audacity to come in and say "Mine just tickled!" as he was outlining on my bones! Gah! The nerve! ;) Either way, it was soooo much fun! I was gonna get something vinyl related instead, but I find this to be much prettier than a black circle! So, all and all, I mostly spent my day with a dead phone on the side of the road.. and then texted my way through a harsh tattoo...but it was worth it =] Today wasn't a bad day considering what an especially bad day I had yesterday.

I'm not usually one for a bunch of editing.. I dunno, maybe I went overboard...

You were my ticket outta here
And I was your dream come true
You gave me everything I ever wanted
Except for you

Hey wait hey don't you know this is where the strong will go on?

And all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
was you

Not A Failure!

My birthday was yesterday! I recieved great presents! My favorite free gift was definitely my very first First Time Find of a geocache! Jake hid one at the lake and sent me out there to find it when I got off. Teala was kind enough to stand out there while I trekked through the woods to find the darn thing! I reached into a tree and got ant bites all over my hand! Thankfully, that wasn't the tree he hid the cache in... haha. It was so exciting to recieve a FTF on my birthday... I was elated. =] I also hid MY very first caches. Woo Hoo! As my caching name has something to do with "vinyl" I felt it was only appropriate to decide to connect/name all my caches by lyrics! I love lyrics. I love caching. Hence... the marriage of the two! =] Moving on... Tomorrow it is to the casino with my favorite people to try and get lucky!

Ohhh! My flowers! Check em out!

I don't really think I've mentioned the fact that I've been getting into the rockabilly scene a tiny bit... but I am.

I remember this movie/song from my childhood and I've dug rockabilly since. I can't say that I've ever been knowledgable about it.. but it does kinda put me in the best mood ever when I listen to it. Randomly I decided I wanted to learn how to do victory rolls! These things are totally blog worthy, they're harder than you would think to (pardon the pun) pin down!!

Before...

At first, I thought, wow, I've got this!! Then it started to fall...
Try number...

Well, two was a disaster...

Three didn't go so well either... notice the annoyed face? Yeah.

So, this is what I ended up with on try number four! It was really hard to get a decent pic of it! And it was even harder to accomplish! Yikes!

On the plus side, I had a blast trying! And, my hair looked even longer when I unrolled it and found some wavy curls!!

(random note: the smaller my waist gets the larger my head seems to be..its so odd!)

Our Relationship Left Me.

onback.itistheoppositeofeverythingihaveknown

Apparently I had looked at PS last night. I can usually remember basically everything when I'm drunk... but that is lost on me! I vaguely remembered seeing a few of the secrets.. but, oh my! I don't remember posting one! =] Anyways, this is a cute secret, I <3 it!

Hopefully tomorrow is a much better day...

I am Desperate

I feel as though I may never recover from my early birthday celebration last night... I am STILL feeling the fog of yuck. To recoup today I laid on the couch in the AC and watched le tour with my puppy... it was nice and relaxing!  Last night lasted forever! And I can't quite remember it all... but! I do remember my big brother taking home a first place trophy! My Dad got himself the third (and earned himself 9 stitches on his thumb) and came home very proud of his boy! Oh, and he flipped over. Which was not enjoyable to watch! I really thought I was going to have to climb the safety fence... time moves so slowly when you're worried in that sort of situation! All is well though... I'm placing my first caches tomorrow! Yay!

The pic is pretty dark but I feel like you get the idea of how big the trophy is!

I'm so sad that I'm not gonna be 23 soon anymore =[ I love this song! And now it won't fit 100% perfectly. Oh, and, life is going to fast.

Never

as good as it used to be

You Know What I Mean...

Other than cropping, this is an unedited photo of my pops welding! Who needs a vignette when you can do it naturally?! Tonight is the kick off for the demo season for my family! Yay! My favorite time of year has finally arrived! It is smokin' hot outside but I'm still considering leaving early to do a little caching on my way to the track... I love country caching!

Games, Changes, Fears

I'm Free
I'm Fiendin'

Okay, I don't really dig Macy Gray's version.. but I literally cried at this version. I find bubbling with so much beauty. Maybe I'm crazy? I don't know. I feel like this is superior in a simple way. Also, it reminded me of a postsecret...

hehehe. I find this to be one of the funniest p. secrets ever!

Completely changing gears now!...

I think this is a cute song! I just don't like how silly the beginning is.. but, eh! I'm way too picky probably!

This is going to be one of my new songs on my iPod as soon as I commit to changing up my gym playlist! I have a few others in mind.. but I'm still doing some searching! When I have more time I'll be posting a couple of my current favorites. I feel like I live in the woods or at the gym anymore! I can't name a day in all of July that I wasn't either hiking, running, biking, or ellipticalling my butt off! On the plus side, I guess I am making a lot of new friends! I got invited to a cache event by 4 different people that I had hardly met! A couple of the people know some family members of mine... so they've learned through the grapevine who I am. (And still want to meet me anyways!) I work the day of the caching event.. which is a bummer since it would be my first... but one of the guys offered to take me out for drinks instead for my birthday! Woo Hoo! I'm also going to hide some caches with a few friends and possibly one of the guys I've met through the site. It was my closest friend's idea to place them for my birthday, so we may do that this weekend. I've never placed, so I'm pretty jazzed about it. I also have some buddies at my gym... I use the term "buddies" because I'm about the only female who is usually there at night. I love guys. Not just for their pecs and abs and yummy leg muscles either!... (though that is pretty nice) I love how open men are about giving pointers. Girls are just never quite as friendly at the gym, I'm not sure why... There is one man who has caught on to me watching the TdF recap when I come in at night, lately. He always finds the right remote and puts it at my machine before I get to it. I think it is so cute. =] (Side note, this same guy asked if I knew anyone "in the race" the first night I turned it on. I said, "Nope, it's the tour de france" to which he says, "oh, i figured maybe you knew someone in it... maybe a boyfriend?" to which i replied, "haha, no it's the tour de france..." and then to his cocked eyebrow i responded, "i wish i knew someone with that kind of money... those guys are kinda professionals..." which seemed to make him realize that it wasn't the kind of thing he thought it was. =] There is also an older gentleman who will talk to me for HOURS if I let him! He is a fountain of information, and now that I'm not nearly as shy as I once was, I know if I have any questions, he is better than google! It is nice to be building all of these new connections! Honestly, posting on this blog, driving in my car, or laying down at night feels like my only TRUE alone time where I know that I will be uninterrupted!  And... oh my goodness, I'm rambling. My bad... signing off!

(I have "heard it through the grapevine" in my head now. Thanks, Marvin, sheesh.)

True Minds

the things i said to you were true
i could never change just what i feel
my face will never show what is not real

i don't care
i won't be spared

"Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever-fixèd mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken."

Most people might not get my perception on what true love is. Most people would have no clue what the heck this quote has to do with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nobody agrees when it comes to Love or Shakespeare... but that doesn't stop me from pairing him with some RHCP and calling it a day.

(Damn, I'm in a melancholy mood.)

I Deserve A Lot More

I've always loved this song. Of course, I especially love it when I'm in a noncommittal mood. Currently, I'm feeling the pressure of having too many options and no concrete favorites. So...  like my Cancerian sun sign suggests, I'm now creepin back into my shell and not allowing anyone in! =] It's kinda nice sometimes to just curl up and spend some alone time with the only person who knows you best. (Yourself, of course.) As much as I want my Mr. Right, I enjoy the nights on my own.

I'm not good with decisions...

Live It Up

Oh, It's Easy!

Hmm... I'm not a huge fan of the vocals of Rascal Flatts in this case.. but I do love the song anyway. Bedingfield's voice shines, that is for sure! I heard this song today for the first time on my way to work and I text myself so I could youtube it later... so I figured it was worth posting. I think running around like a crazy person for the last 7 days has officially caught me. I need a serious cuddle-storm nap. Which is what I plan to do after I post this! I went caching after work yesterday and my darn car overheated in the middle of the country... so I let it cool down and just hiked to a couple. That is just how I roll. Had my camera along too!

Pop!

Well... it was another day full of caching. Absolutely no daytime finds but I was 4 and 0 when we went back out around 11pm! I'm pretty much bushed. Speaking of bushes! I literally went round and round the mulberry bush today and found zip! I know it was there and somehow I missed the darned thing. I had pics to upload but the morning is coming on fast... maybe when I get off tomorrow I'll share a few pics.

Work Hard, Play Hard

This song is wonderful, even though it makes me feel torn. Teaching boys to fish is fun... but then again, I've totally dated the sort of guy this song is refering to! It isn't all bad, but then again... either way!

So! Tonight was a blast! Our group split up and I managed to get myself and my cousin to the stage for Justin Moore. But, that is the cart before the horse! First, Dustin Lynch headlined and I have no doubt that he's gonna be a Luke Bryan or maybe even a Jason Aldean! He has that clean George Strait look to him but with an even more beautiful smile! He is fairly new to the scene but if you search him out on good ole facebook you can get a free download! I think he is gonna be one to watch!

I dunno which man I was more infatuated with... so I took a pic of them both!! The other guitar player looked creepily like my ex! Only he made much more ridiculous faces while playing. It was actually pretty entertaining to watch.  He'd go from being supremely attractive to making a strange face. It was slightly distracting, but in a good way! Too bad I didn't get a picture of one of his epic facial expressions! This is the best I can do and it is fairly blurry.

Since I've pretty much drawn comparisons to every singer I've mentioned so far... the drummer for Justin Moore looks like the last guy I was with. (Well, maybe a few more tattoos.) Everyone must really have a "twin" walking around. Moore's band were pretty rockin, gotta say that.

Okay, so neither of Moore's guitar players reminded me of anyone from my past. =] Trend broken. Here are some pictures! And, yeah, I really was that close to them.

(i can kick your ass!http://youtu.be/QVK9BXL74aY)

Well, enough checking out the country boys... I also happened to listen to music while there! Considering that I provided the link above, I think it is worth saying that I almost got in my first ever fist fight tonight! Unfortunately, (or, perhaps, fortunately) I don't get to check fist fight off of my invisible bucket list. hehe But! I did get sung to by the talented Justin Moore. My cousin actually took a video of it. Can't wait to see it! The exact words Mr. Moore sang to me were "now shut up and drive and back that thing up/ throw it in reverse / let daddy load it up/ honey, back that thing up!" but I can't be positive because I think I died for a few minutes. =] It really was a great show, he interacted a lot with the audience and we were definitely a wild bunch!

Best part of the show?! (Other than being sung to, of course.) He sang Bad Company's song Feel Like Makin' Love and Hank's Family Tradition. They were among a few other covers but they were definitely my favorites. He was playing acoustic when he did the Bad Co. tune and I was the only person within about 20 feet that seemed to know the song. I'm really not THAT old.. at least... I didn't think so. Yet, all the young people around me were asking what song he was singing, it was kinda funny.

Moore was amazing! The crowd littered the stage with hats, boots, and even bras for him to sign, and he signed almost all of them! There must have been at least 30 items at his feet! He also was very appreciative toward the crowd and had heartfelt explanations of his plethora of self-written songs. This concert was another freebie for me, but I would pay to see him play again!

I think that is a thorough enough account of the concert. It was good times! =] And for those who live under one of those "no country music" rocks... BACKWOODS!

Redneck Side by Justin Moore

my redneck side!

Tonight is the Justin Moore concert in Iowa. I have free tickets, so what could be better? I know I post a very large variety of music... but I'm most definitely a great deal country. I like demo derbies, fishing, horseback riding, and watching fireworks from the bed of a truck! Don't the let the variety fool you, my heart belongs in the sticks. =]

Guarantee

I'll be the greatest thing you ever had.
cause you ain't never met nobody like me...

I'm so bad.

Real Good Man

Dream guys are made just like this. Bad boys make the best men, I'm convinced!!

My good mood continues on... maybe I'm finally headed toward what I've been missing in life! Sometimes I hold on so hard to the past that I miss what is going on in the present. No more! I'm totally back on the path to happiness! Time to really hit the bucket list again now that I'm focused on the future!

What's It To You

Go!

I think I've discovered a new favorite! I ran into this song when I was channel surfing! Had to do some research to figure out what it was from the tiny sample I had heard... eventually I found it.

I took some pics of my garden to post.. but there isn't much difference. So... nothing fun to report!

Here is another song, just cause I'm in a fabulous mood! So, Clay Walker is the most under-rated county singer ever! I love 90's country. It is the best that country music has to offer. Enjoy the following, it is a little tacky but wonderfully great.

It's Not The Same

Without You
because it takes two to whisper
quietly

I stumbled across Stage 1 of the Tour de France today... on accident. I'll admit, I watched it. It isn't the same without Lance though. Not at all, something is just missing from it... not that I know anything about this subject. All I really know is that I hate Contador, he's such a weasel. Anyway, a song, just cause...

I'd send a post card to you dear
cause I wish you were here.

Anyways, it is scorching out! Summer is definitely finally here! I was going to go out of town today and cache a little with a friend of mine, but... dayum! Actually, I'm still willing but he's a wimp! So, instead, I think we'll just redbox it in the cool air. (Kinda a waste of a beautiful day if you ask me, but oh wells.) Ooo... or maybe I'll cuddle up with a book! Erica Spindler is my favorite author of thrillers and Blood Vines just came out! It is sitting on my nightstand as we speak, actually. If you don't know her work and you love thrillers and mysteries, give her a go! Start with Bone Cold... it is my favorite!

oh darling i wish you were here

I love my lake... a lot.

yikes

I love finding new sites online! This one is pretty hilarious. I've been going through the comics backwards but it is kinda fun to see the story of the characters in reverse order!

In other news... I didn't mention it earlier, but I totally had the cops called on me last night for geocaching. They ran my name... everyone and their brother text me and asked why I got reported for being a prowler. lol Ha! Me?! I'm totally harmless. The cops didn't believe me cause nobody knows wth I'm talking about when I say that I'm geocaching. So, I showed him my GPS. Then... he wanted to see the website. Then... he asked where the cache was. (It was a difficulty of one, mind you.) I pointed him in the right direction. Then... I had to get out of the car and show him where the cache was... and thennn... I had to open it. I was deemed harmless after all that and sent on my merry way.

Today, I had a less fortunate encounter the Police. Actoss the street from the place I work at, there is a park. At said park tonight, one man shot another man twice. Then, (according to sources that aren't yet confirmed) the shooter ran over a kid when speeding away. My residents were completely freaked out by all of the commotion and we had to talk to the cops about it. Coincidentally, we were walking where the crime took place last night at the same time! It is crazy to think that if it were just another day it could have been me or my residents. The day before, my niece and nephew were at that park with me. I'm just feeling thankful that I have more days to be with people I love. Cliche or not, life is too short.
